However, soon the company has landed back to the actual pricing of the sedan to cut respectable profits. 26-March-2012 : Nissan Motor India is expected to launch an automatic version of Nissan Sunny by February 2013 . The Nissan Sunny Automatic will be equipped with a basic Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) box and will be available only with the petrol engine. Generally a CVT box keeps the costs down and provides pricing advantage in Indian markets. We recently saw the same happen with Maruti Swift Dzire AT when it was equipped with the cheapest automatic four-speed transmission box in the market on the petrol variant. Automatic Nissan Sunny price is expected to be only Rs. 80,000 more than its manual petrol engine variant.
